Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A. Biles was the first female gymnast in history to be awarded four gold medals in one Games. in Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to ever win consecutive World All-around Titles (2013-15). Biles lived in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area after she and her sister Adria were adopted by their grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone discovered her love for gymnastics at age six during school field trips to Bannon's Gymnastix and she continued there throughout 11 years under the guidance of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a gold medal in floor and vault in the women's Junior Olympic National Championships of 2010 before making her debut at the top levels of competition. Two years later, Biles was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles's consistency, her exuberant nature and high degree of challenge in the four events she competed in -- vault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercises and floor exercises -- have set her aside.
