Annie Murphy, also known as Anne Frances Murphy, was born in 1986. Her home country is Canada. The actress has appeared in several films in Hollywood. She is mainly known for playing the character Alexis Rose in the CBC sitcom television series Schitt's Creek began in 2015 and concluded in 2020. Her character was praised by critics for the character she played and presented her with a Primetime Emmy Award. Born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. She is the daughter of two school teachers. Elmwood School, Ottawa is where she began performing in theatre productions. Following her graduation from Concordia University with a theatre degree, she joined the Canadian Film Centre's Actor's College. After that, she took acting classes at Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory. After that, she relocated from Toronto to Los Angeles in her early 20s and began to pursue acting. Annie Murphy made her acting debut in 2007, with the television thriller Lethal Obsession. Then, she continued to perform in smaller roles as well as acting in extra.
